- twXplorer – A useful way to search Twitter.
- ThingLink – To annotate photos so that readers an interact with them.
- Infogr.am – A free-mium tool for interactive infographs (here are a couple others: piktochart, visual.ly, easel.ly)
- TimelineJS – A free tool to allow for the creation of interaction timelines
- StorymapJS – A free tool for the creation of interactive storytelling maps
- JuxtaposeJS – A free and easy tool to create photo comparison sliders
- Storytelling with Google Maps – a resource page from Google
- If This Than That (IFTTT) and ways that journalists can use it
- Various mobile apps from Adobe (especially Capture CC, Comp CC, Illustrator Draw, Photoshop Mix, Photoshop Fix, Premiere Clip, Voice, and Slate).
- Videolicious – A fast way to make broadcast-style videos on your iOS device (StoryMaker is one I’ve heard that is similar for Android)
